Bursitis is inflammation of the bursa. Bursitis is a bag containing liquids that are in between the bones, tendons or ligaments. The function of the bursa is to prevent both these structures so as not to rub against each other. Bursae help to alleviate friction between these networks and bones during movement in the joint. Bursitis mainly affects bursae located on the elbows, shoulders, knees, and hips. Bursitis usually occurs in people over 40 years.

Use a cane or crutches to walk for 1 week or more if needed.
Physical therapy, it is useful for this condition and manual therapy, ultrasound, and stretching in particular is associated with this. In cases that are more severe, the injection of corticosteroids along with local anesthetic can be very helpful to relieve symptoms.

Surgical Therapy.
Surgery is rarely needed for Hip bursitis. For cases which failed to react with previous actions above, excision of bursa sac can be performed as one day surgery is completed.
