Some chronic stress may also be triggered by psychological trauma, such as emotional, physical, or se**xual abuse, important early loss (such as parental loss), and abandonment.

External factors that can cause chronic stress are environmental stress. Stressful or traumatic events can trigger stress in a person with a cool hand against chronic stress.
